Sky and Polarization Date: Sun Oct 6 21:09:43 1996 Dear discuss-lfm members, DO your experiments! 1. 90 deg scattering the blue sky is polarized. Look at the blue sky through a polaroid. How to get polaroid: Electronic calculator (Liquid crystal equipments) use polaroid. Take off! 2. Look at the rainbow through the polaroid. What a beautiful! Try it. 3. Half moon is scattering sunlight through 90 deg to you. Is the half moon light polarized? 4. What is Brewster's angle? Thanks Syu

Re: Sky and Polarization Date: Sun Oct 6 20:36:13 1996 Cheaper way to get a polarized lens--old fishing sunglasses. We get them by the dozen for $7 a pair from K-Mart or WalMart. They must be well-polarized because I can never read my watch! jkcook
